Bit Defenders
BIT DEFENDERS
*In development
A classic Shoot' Em Up with a 1 bit sprites retro style.
If you like classic shooters, chiptune music, pixelated graphics and 80s style, you can't miss this game!
- Action at all times, you will not have a break!
- Retro graphic style, no 3d is used here, no lights, not even colors!
- Chiptune music as it could not be otherwise
- Devilish difficulty like in the 80's games, not suitable for newbies :)
Currently the game is in development and only the demo of the first level is shown.
Please leave your comments and feedback to improve the game, thanks :)

A rather fun game, this! ^_^
My only critique might be that it gets a little tedious to rapidly tap the space-bar to fire; I think that I might prefer to have the player-character shoot while the space-bar is held down, instead.
Still, that's a fairly small issue in an otherwise fun and stylish experience. ^_^
Hi Ian!,
Thanks for playing the game!! I'm glad you liked it!
I understand that it can be tiring to shoot for so long by hitting the space key, on the other hand it could be boring to leave the key pressed ... In the next update I will solve this problem by making the space key fire two shots in a row and then have to go back to press space to shoot. In short, you have to press the key half times to get the same firing ratio.
Thank you very much for your comment, it helps me a lot to make the game more playable! :)
The comment is my pleasure; I'm glad if it's been helpful. ^_^
Regarding shooting, is there ever a circumstance in which the player might prefer to not shoot? If there isn't, then perhaps it might be worth considering having the player-character just shoot continuously, without player-input.
Hi again!
Okay, the only circumstance would be in a mobile game of course, but having to shoot adds a challenge point to the game. I would like to keep this feature if I will keep it at least for PC.
Thanks for helping me improve the game! ;)
